The beautiful colours and uplifting smells of citrus inspired me this morning to create a splash of bright colours. Lets finish off our sparking creativity every day in May with a composition of oranges, lemons and limes.
Supplies:
- watercolour paper
- pencil
- round objects to trace
- white oil pastels
- orange, yellow and green watercolour
Let’s begin by tracing a variety of circles on our watercolour paper. Vary the sizes and have a few slightly off the page. Next, use your oil pastel to trace over your pencil lines.
Paint over your citrus slices and then you will see the white oil pastel as it will resist the watercolour paint. I splashed some paint to add some vibrance to the composition.
It was a quick and easy project and I really love the way it turned out. I hope you try it.
Thank you SO much for following along over the past 31 days as we posted a new idea to keep art a part of your day and hopefully inspire some of our students and new friends to create!
