Wishing Everyone a Wonderful and Happy Summer!

Jun 13, 2019

One of the things that makes teaching so special are those wonderful thank you cards that students have made so carefully for us!  We had a really fun Spring session with all our students, inspired by famous artists and places in Toronto. From a serene landscape of Lake Ontario, a view across the Humber River at the Old Mill Bridge, learning about the Fashion District and Graffiti Alley, taking a look at Casa Loma architecture, to capturing the CN Tower at sunset and taking a look at Norval Morrisseau’s work at the AGO.

Art in Action classes have an art history component that works with the elements and principles of design. Students will have the tactile experience of experimenting with a variety of art materials and techniques including: watercolours, acrylics, collage materials, oil pastels, chalk pastels and more.  This art enrichment program is geared for success with approachable step-by-step projects where we create a new piece each week…

Art in Action will be busy all summer long creating and developing brand new projects for next year’s 2019/20 school year. We hope to see everyone back again in the fall after a wonderful and happy summer!
