“It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child.”
Picasso was our inspiration with our Grade 1 – 3 group at Humbercrest Public School this week.
We started with a brief overview of his career and then focussed on his line drawings. Picasso had such a talent for reducing an animal or person down to their very essence in a simple line drawing. The kids really enjoyed looking at the examples and trying their own owl line drawing. We also touched on warm and cool colours and divided our students up into a ‘cool’ colour group and a ‘warm’ colour group.
