Today let’s be inspired by warm and cool colours and create some easy backgrounds for dandelions. Warmer weather is on the way and on my walk yesterday I saw fields full of them. It inspired these ones…
Use your chalk pastels to create circles, you can experiment with spacing the colours farther apart or closer together. How you space them will determine how the colours blend together.
Use a small piece of paper towel or even your finger to smudge your colours together. Make sure you go in a circular pattern to mix them.
Next, use a small paintbrush and black acrylic paint to make your stems and a small middle. For the flower part, I used an old gift card dipped in the black paint to stamp the lines.
I used a Micron felt tip pen to create the ends of my flowers. There are so many colours you can use for the background and you could even make your dandelions more realistically using yellow and green paint. Take a look on your front lawn or walk down to a local park inspire you!
