Action Jackson

“I have no fear of making changes, destroying the image, etc., because the painting has a life of its own.”

Jackson Pollock

At our last session at Humbercrest we looked at the process of painting like Jackson Pollock. He is most famous for the paintings produced during his ‘drip period’.

After seeing many examples of his work our students embraced the process wholeheartedly and created some pretty amazing works. We kept the mess to a minimum by placing our canvasses in cardboard boxes. Then we got busy dripping, spraying, pouring and flinging paint!

Take a look:

Our classroom was filled with laughter and creativity – just the way we like it.
