“One curator said he didn’t want my work in his gallery because it was so simple even children understood it. I thought, what a wonderful tribute!”
-Ted Harrison
Ted Harrison is a Canadian artist who is famous for his unique paintings of Northern Canadian landscapes. He has the ability to make simple landscapes captivating by dividing the canvas in horizontal sections. He chooses brilliant colours that are not always realistic and uses lines to give contrast to the colours.
We looked at many examples of his art in the beautiful book, Painting Paradise, by Katherine Gibson.
